About me
Ron Popper, who is CEO of the Global Business Initiative on Human Rights (GBI), has been involved in the business and human rights discussion for about 17 years. For 10 years, he was head of Corporate Responsibility at the Swiss-based multinational ABB, leading efforts to embed human rights in policies and processes, carrying out due diligence in sensitive environments, and rolling out and teaching a global human rights training programme. After leaving ABB in 2016, he has also become a trustee of a number of organisations including the Institute for Human Rights and Business and the Centre for Sport and Human Rights. He also lectures regularly on business and human rights at universities and business schools.
